Southeast Middle Construction Ahead of Schedule, Ready by Fall
| | Library books make the move to the new media center at Southeast Middle. |
Work at Southeast Middle continues nearly a month ahead of schedule. Administrators began moving into their new offices in mid-June, allowing work to progress quickly in the former office location, which will become classroom space.
Also complete are the new media center and gym. Still to come are new flooring and light fixtures, a new outdoor canopy and an enlarged cafeteria space, all of which will be complete by mid-August, just in time for the first day of school on Aug. 25. |

Ragsdale, Jamestown Middle Campuses Prepare to Merge
| | Work will begin shortly on a link building to connect the Jamestown Middle and Ragsdale High campuses. |
Work has begun at the former Jamestown Middle building, which will become part of the Ragsdale campus. The middle school building will be renovated to update classroom space and sprinkler systems, and the former gym will become an expanded dining hall. When students return in the fall, this space will be complete and ready for ninth-grade occupation.
Outside, workers are getting ready to begin the link building that will join the middle and high school sites. Construction will start in early July on that location, which will house administrative offices, a new gym and media center and Encore classes. Completion of that phase is expected next summer.
