Prepare to Grow - Prepare to Maintain
In the May/June 2012 issue of The Harmonizer, "Montana Jack" Fitzpatrick wrote a great article on 1) How to properly set the stage and "make the sale" to chapter guests - and 2) How to help a new member become a permanent member.
Have you read it? If not, you should, and encourage all your chapter to read it. If you've misplaced your copy, click HERE to download and read online. Think about the guy who joined your chapter recently, and make it a point to practice the tips in "Prepare to Maintain."

The Redwood Chordsmen of Santa Rosa, California (FWD) has witnessed their finest burst of growth in over 47 years, by doing all the basic things really well. This time last year, they had 26 members; now they have 60! They promoted an April 25, 2012 guest night on their website and Craigslist, handed out business cards and sent letters to more than 25 area churches. Forty guys showed up that night, and many of the new guys who joined are under age 25. And, they have great plans for retaining those members too!
