I hope you will seriously consider attending the SDEA Bargaining Conference next weekend in Pierre (January 29 - 30).   I am asking for about 24 hours of your time to help us plan for the 2011 Bargaining sessions, which I described in my last newsletter.   This is your opportunity to have a direct impact on negotiations!

While events begin earlier, Friday evening important event is the 8:00 p.m. Higher Ed Discussion Group.   Other breakout sessions, including tracks specifically for Higher Education, run all day Saturday until 4:00 p.m.  There is still to register at www.sdea.org and you can secure a hotel room with Kim Paxton at SDEA (605) 224-9263 if you contact her by tomorrow (Wednesday, January 20) or the hotel directly (Best Western Ramkota Hotel in Pierre (605) 224-6877).

One small change, for those who want to meet with BOR Executive Director Jack Warner, our meeting with him has been re-scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at the SDEA Building in Pierre.
