Product of the Month
The Ohmega is a small and lightweight ambulatory system which combines Impedance recording and pH recording. As a result, the Ohmega detects reflux activity using Impedance and categorizes these reflux episodes as acidic or non-acidic (weakly acidic), using traditional pH measurement. Gas and mixed liquid/gas reflux episodes are analyzed as well.
The Virtual Instructor Program™ helps to complete the procedure successfully with minimal training.
Bluetooth® capabilities make it possible to view and check data on a computer monitor while recording.
The intelligent symptom analysis software quantifies reflux episodes quickly and simply.

Customer Perspective
"The Center for Motility and Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders. at Children's Hospital Boston uses many different types of equipment to provide State of the Art testing in the evaluation of children with motility related disorders. As part of its equipment the center has 3 Solar GI systems from MMS which are mostly used for the performance of esophageal, antroduodenal, colonic and anorectal manometry, combined simultaneous studies, and high resolution manometry with impedance. The MMS systems are also used in the performance of studies in which pressure, impedance and pH are measured simultaneously in specially designed pediatric catheters".
