Earth Week is a campus wide collaborative week dedicated to dialogue, education and action celebrating sustainable culture, community and the place we live. This week will be an opportunity to build a stronger movement for environmental and social justice. Check out: , event calender. We included most events here.

PICA is a vibrant educational community in which to study agricultural and community sustainability. Sign up for Village Housing and the PICA program for the 2011-12 school year!

Join university leaders and organic farmers from the University of Hawaii West O'ahu (UHWO), and Ma'o Farms as they talk story and we share our efforts to empower young leader and integrate sustainability into planning, curriculum, student learning, and operations. Presenters include the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, faculty from UHWO, leaders from Ma'o Farms, and UCSC sustainability stakeholders.Date:Thursday, April 21, 10am- 12pm at Namaste Lounge, College 9/10.

2. Earth Week Keynote Address: Where on Earth are We Going: Environmental and Cultural Sustenance for our Times,  

7-9pm, Oakes Learning Center

 In her writing and public presentations, Osprey Orielle Lake draws upon her life's work dedicated to environmental protection and cultural transformation as well as her collaboration with organizations around the world that are working to create a just and sustainable future. Date: April 21st, 7- 9pm at Oakes College Learning Center. Hosts: College Eight and UCSC American Indian Resource Center.  


10th Annual Campus Earth Summit

 College 9/10 Multi-Purpose Room, April 22nd 

Hosted by the Student Environmental Center, participants at the 10th Annual Campus Earth Summit will reflect onsummit UCSC's environmental efforts and work toward a sustainable future. All members of the university and city are invited to learn about campus and community efforts, envision the future of sustainability at UCSC, and connect with projects and campaigns for upcoming years. Date: Friday, April 22 from 9:30am-4:30pm, in the Colleges 9&10 Multipurpose Room. For the event agenda and other information,
