Consumer Reports names Subaru a Top Automaker!
Subaru was one of the manufacturers that topped Consumer Reports annual rankings of automakers for 2011.
Subaru has the highest average road-test score - 81 - as measured by the magazine. And while the Japanese automaker only markets a half-a-dozen models, they all do well in Consumer Reports' road tests and nearly all are reliable. The Forester is a top rated small SUV, and the Legacy sedan has been improved with each generation.
An automaker's overall score is based on a composite of road test and predicted reliability scores for all tested vehicles. The magazine's road test score is based on more than 50 tests and evaluations, covering performance, safety, fuel economy, comfort and convenience. Reliability scores come from Consumer Reports' Annual Auto Survey, which included histories of 1.3 million vehicles.
The rankings by Consumer Reports influence car buyers and are published in the magazine's annual auto issue. Consumer Reports, published by Consumers Union, uses vehicle owner reliability surveys from 1.3 million people, government and insurance-industry crash tests and its own evaluations of how vehicles function for its ratings.

Customer's Corner
Excerpts from Happy Customers!
Mr Alvine,
We just wanted to complement you on the extremely good service we have received for our 2008 WRX. Specifically, we are very impressed with Gary who bends over backwards to make sure we are satisfied and that we get repairs under warranty whenever possible. Gary is a pleasure to deal with as is everyone there, including Stanley who takes the time to understand what we like a car and keeps us up to date on the latest models.
I'm pretty certain our next car will be a Subaru from Premier.
- Ed and Lorna, Satisfied Customers
I just wanted to take the time to thank you and more specifically your staff. Mark (Gennette) was helpful and insightful with regards to the "car buying experience." Rich Johnson made the finance part as easy as possible. The staff was courteous, friendly and certainly knowledgeable.
I'm truly looking forward to enjoying my new Outback.
- Howard, Satisfied Customer

Adorable Adoptable Animals
This article is to help local shelters and halfway houses find homes for animals in need. Each month, we feature an animal that needs our help.
Her foster parent writes:
Female, approximately 2 years, a real beauty - grey & white. She has green eyes, petite, very affectionate, loves to cuddle. I am keeping her in my garage, so she is out of the cold, but I have 2 dogs and one hates cats. Please help her. She is frowning in the picture, but she is a sweet kitty. It looks like she was dropped off; it also appears she has been an inside cat at some point. She knows how to use the kitty litter, but she is leading an outside cat existence too. We have coyotes, etc.- we live in the woods. I can not bring her in the house. The phone number to call is (203)-589-8998. I would pay for shots and neutering if someone would give her a good home - B. Edward Canell, Editor-in-Chief
