| Helping Families in Need |
As you have noticed in recent months, we try to do all we can for our community. Now sales consultant Jeff Irzyk has joined forces with Christian Community Action to help hungry families in New Haven. During the months of March and April, CCA is sponsoring the Alan Shawn Feinstein Anti-Hunger Challenge, in conjunction with Premier Subaru and the Alan Shawn Feinstein Foundation of Rhode Island. Any donations of food or cash to the CCA Food Pantry will get a financial match to CCA from the Foundation. Food donations will be matched at the rate of $1.00 for each item. The CCA Food Pantry is the 2nd largest pantry in the New Haven area, serving over 700 families and individuals a month, over half of which are children. | Welcome to National Car Care Month! |
April is National Car Care Month. Each April, motorists across the United States observe National Car Care Month. Beginning in Ohio in 1980 and then expanding nationally in  1981, the event has earned endorsement of mechanics, consumer advocates and federal agencies alike. It is intended to highlight the importance of vehicle care and maintenance to prolong the vehicle's life, save money and reduce pollutants.
Here's a ten-point checklist for improved vehicle safety, dependability and fuel economy.
1. Check, top off or replace all fluids including brake transmission, coolant, power steering and wiper fluids.
2. Check air filter and replace if necessary.
3. Check the battery and charging system; clean corrosion from the terminals.
4. Pressure test the cooling system, examining belts and hoses for wear or deterioration.
5. Check or change the engine oil.
6. Check all lights.
7. Check windshield wipers (rear if applicable).
8. Check underside of vehicles, including tires, spare and suspension.
9. Check air conditioner refrigerant and hoses as well (optional in vehicle air filters available on some models).
10. Check engine drivability to determine condition of fuel, ignition and emissions control systems.

Our Car Care Clinic will be held between April 12th and April 30th during regular business hours. The inspection includes a check-up of all major operating systems and a written report on the vehicle's condition.
