Looking for Safety - Look no Further!

When it comes to purchasing a vehicle, the safety of the customer and their family, friends, and loved ones is an essential element of choosing a vehicle. Now Subaru fans and enthusiasts have more reason to rejoice. The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety(IIHS) has announced that Subaru is the only manufacturer who has every model elected as a Top Safety Pick.

IIHS tests have become more extensive in recent years, not only checking for front and side-impact crashes, but also rear-impact crashes, especially when it relates to the prevention of head and neck injuries, and a new study showing roof strength, which basically measures how much pressure is required before a roof plate buckles. All of the Subaru vehicles performed at the top of their classes.

Subaru Shares the Love - Again!

It was met with such rewarding applause last year, that it's happening again for 2009. It is the Subaru "Share the Love" Campaign. For each person who purchases a vehicle between November 21st and January 4th, $250 will be donated to the charity of their choice from the following five charities: ASPCA, Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, or the National Wildlife Federation. Already, our customers have already put up over $6,500 for their favorite charity.

          We are also hosting a special "Share the Love" Campaign party here at the dealership on Saturday, December 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Premier shines the spotlight on the five charities that comprise "Share the Love." We are showing our support for them locally by accepting donations and showcasing what they do for the community.
          You'll be able to sign up to volunteer, see photos of animals available for adoption, and chat with a National Wildlife Federation volunteer and learn what we can do this winter. You'll also be greeted by children from Boys and Girls Clubs.
         There are many local charities that can use our help. Branford's Daniel Cosgrove Animal Shelter can use donations of food, blankets and towels. The Boys and Girls Clubs can benefit from donations, hats, gloves, scarves, and toys. New Haven's Habitat for Humanity needs 50 ft. minimum measuring tapes, leather tool belts, squares, levels, and drywall hammers. They could also use saws, heavy duty drills, heavy gauge extension cords, step stools, aluminum ladders, and wheel barrows.

The Community Action Agency of Greater New Haven is the local area chapter for Meals on Wheels, serving the low-income elderly who are homebound and cannot get out to shop.

Being in the Holiday Spirit, it is also time for the Annual "Toys for Tots" Campaign. Remember that Forester we filled with food last month? Well, now we are filling it with toys! And we are passing the benefits on to you - if you bring in at least $20 worth of toys, you can save $100 off of a new Subaru! Prior sales do not apply. P.S. All of the food was prepackaged before it was in the Forester . . . just wanted to reiterate for those of you who thought that we had food-covered toys in the Forester(laugh). On another note, with Premier Subaru's help, Christian Community Action helped feed 1,770 people this Thanksgiving season!
