Dear NHS Member,
 
We extend best Christmas and New Years wishes to you and your family.  We look forward to the upcoming NHS Hellenic Classic and Symposium weekend at the Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, AZ on April 29 - May 2, 2010, and look forward to seeing you there.  Tony Orlando and his band will headline a weekend filled with leisure and fun activities.  Mark your calendars and please save the date of April 29-May 2, 2010. 
 
NHS mission is to preserve our heritage, especially for the next generation through the support and establishment of programs that make a difference. 
 
NHS is proud to announce the "Heritage Greece Program" will launch this summer.  NHS, in collaboration with the American College of Greece, shall sponsor a free trip for a group of young Greek American participants paired with peer group of young Greek participants.  Together the group will experience the culture, traditions and wonders of Greece firsthand and develop lasting relationships with one another.  NHS will sponsor educational programs for Greek American students including the AHEPA Journey to Greece and Ionian Village Programs. 
 
NHS Youth
 
In just a year, NHS' impact and contribution has been significant.  The Heritage Greece Program will help shape the future of the next generation of young Greek Americans.  Many thanks to you for your continued support which makes Programs like this come to life.  We've only just begun!

Recent News
 
  • NHS Board approved support of AHEPA Journey to Greece & Ionian Village Programs.  NHS will launch its Heritage Greece Program trip this coming summer.
 
  •  NHS Virtual Village website will launch in the Spring of 2010.  NHS convened an Advisory Board comprised of young Greek American professionals from around the country.  The Advisory Board provided valuable feedback and suggestions.
 
  • NHS and the National Hellenic Museum's collaboration on the Oral History Project will continue with interviews in the Baltimore & Washington DC metropolitan region. 
 
  • Executive Director Tim Maniatis and NHS highlighted in Odyssey Magazine in conjunction with Professor Lou Markos' presentation sponsored by the Hellenic Congressional Caucus and NHS at the U.S. House of Representatives.
 
  • NHS Board of Directors will convene on Sat., January 23rd, at the Palace Hotel in New York City.  NHS will host a dinner for friends and prospective members on Friday, January 22nd.
