Dear , It's Almost Here!
Second Step Players Fall Show and Silent Auction Art Show is coming up on September 11th, 12th & 13th at United Congregational
Church in Norwich, Connecticut, downstairs in the Fellowship Hall.
This year's show features members of the Second Step Players, family members and volunteers acting in three scripts directed by David Foulkes. Kato McNickle's Replacing a Cog explores the complexities of a mother/daughter relationship. Helen Cronin's Joe and Jeannie reminds us that we are all in a lifelong learning process, and each of us has both learning and teaching to do. The Second Step Players' classic Lifestyles of the Poor and Homeless introduces us to Samuel, a homeless man who has come to terms with his living conditions and shares some insights into what it means to be without the amenities of life that the rest of us perhaps take for granted.
There will be three shows, Friday & Saturday nights are at 7:30 pm, and a matinee on Sunday at 2:00 pm. All tickets will be available at the door for a cost of $12/Undiagnosed and $10/Diagnosed. SAY you are diagnosed and save 2 bucks. This may be the only place on the planet where it PAYS to say you have a mental illness! All proceeds from ticket sales and the silent art auction will be used to support the activities of Artreach, Inc.
In conjunction with the performance, there will be the first ever Silent Art Auction, featuring 30 items created by local artists. All works have been donated, and will be auctioned off to help raise much-needed funds for Artreach.
You can start right now by clicking the link below and visiting the online gallery of the auction items. Bidding has already begun, and the online portion continues until September 4th. The highest online bid for each item will then become the starting bid for that item during the live bidding at each performance. Ten items per show will be given to the highest bidder.
