LETTER FROM THE EXECTIVE DIRECTOR
Dear Friends,

After nearly 5 years as executive director of Gallatin Valley Land Trust, and enjoying your support and friendship as a colleague, donor or landowner, I write to let you know that I am moving into a new phase in my career. I am looking to step out of the administrative role of executive director to work more broadly on policy and legislative matters, and in certain situations, more directly with landowners and community decision makers. I have informed the board of GVLT and will assist them with a smooth transition of leadership.  I anticipate leaving GVLT at the end of this fiscal year on June 30, 2010.

It has been an amazing time to be associated with Gallatin Valley Land Trust. During my tenure, we have protected over 11,000 acres, extended the community trail system by 15 miles (33%) to 60 miles in length, and earned Accredited Land Trust status.  I have enjoyed working with the board and staff and serving the community in this special role. As we begin GVLT's 20th anniversary year, I look forward with great anticipation to the organization's continued success in its third decade and beyond.

Between now and June, please feel free to contact me, or GVLT's President, Micheline Bisaillon if you have any questions or suggestions.  Kelly Pohl will be Managing Director during the transition and ensure continuity of leadership.

Again, many thanks for your friendship and support of GVLT.  We couldn't accomplish anything without the loyal and generous support of folks like you.

Sincerely,
