Graphic Novelists at Perkins Library!

Some of you who have taken the time to explore the deep recesses of The Gothic may have noticed our ever-expanding graphic novel section. Whether your taste runs to Manga, Marvel, or Meandering Musings, we've got you covered.
For this reason (and because many of us here are, quite simply, comic book geeks), we at the Gothic are very excited about the upcoming "Graphic Novelists at the Libraries" event. On Tuesday, September 29th from 4:00 to 6:00, the comic artists Liz Baillie, Ken Dahl, and MK Reed will give a reading from their most recent work, followed by a discussion of gender issues in comics, moderated by Rob Clough. The event is sponsored by the Sallie Bingham Center for Women's History and Culture and will be held in Perkins Library 217.
The Gothic Bookshop will be on hand to sell books by the featured authors. Don't miss this event, folks. It's a great opportunity to show how much enthusiasm there is here at Duke for this great art form!

We at the Gothic do our best to keep as many Duke Press books in stock as possible, so if you see something that looks interesting (as you no doubt will), come find it on our shelves.
