Back to School Tips
There are many OLLI courses that still have openings. Check with the OLLI office to determine if you can add a class. As a courtesy to other OLLI members and instructors, let the OLLI office know as soon as possible if you need to drop a course. Some courses have waiting lists.
While we are pleased to have added a new Assistant Program Coordinator, Pam Roessler, OLLI is still a member-run organization that depends on the active participation of members like you for its smooth functioning. Please
consider how you might contribute. Greater participation not only helps the organization
but also increases your connection to other OLLI members.
Don't overlook member information resources on the www.sou.edu/olli website. Whether you want to check the room number for a class or get directions to either campus, many answers can be found here.
OLLI member rosters for 2010-2011 are being prepared. If you would prefer to have your contact information omitted from this roster, please notify the OLLI office.

 Call for Winter Instructors
Course Proposal Deadline 10/1/10Although fall classes are just starting, it is already time to think about teaching a course winter quarter. Help in formulating a proposal is available from the Curriculum Committee. Click here for details on becoming an instructor.
Even if you don't choose to teach, if there are subjects you'd like to see covered in the OLLI curriculum, reach out to other members and the community at large to recruit a knowledgeable instructor. The quality of the OLLI curriculum and number of course offerings is determined by all of us. |

Special Educational Events
...Community Lectures and Forums
Take advantage of OLLI single event educational programs this fall. These programs are open to the general public and are a great way to introduce friends to OLLI.
The Community Lecture series is held each Wednesday on the Ashland campus from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. The initial program on September 15 is "The World Sacred Music Festival". Join us in Room A as Steve Scholl provides a behind-the-scenes look at Morocco and Islam that includes a showing of a documentary film about the festival. Click here for the complete fall schedule.
Save the date for a Community Forum to be held in the Presentation Hall at the HEC in Medford on Monday, October 25 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Details of the program will be available soon.
