Greetings!
Based on responses to the annual OLLI member satisfaction survey from a large percentage of members, we're very pleased that 95% of you plan to return next year. Reasons such as "moving out of the area" are most commonly cited for not returning. There were some excellent constructive suggestions, which your Council and Committee Chairs will consider carefully. We're all committed to making OLLI even more worthwhile and enjoyable.

Fall Courses Reach Record High
A great start to 2009-2010
 Fall 2009 promises to offer us the richest course selection ever in quantity and diversity of topics. The Curriculum Committee received almost 100 course proposals in total, including 19 for the Medford campus! While it is likely that available classroom space will not accommodate all of these, we will have a head start on our winter offerings. Thanks to those instructors who heeded the call to volunteer in this vital way.

June Picnic Caps This Year's Social Events
Building on success of the Ice Cream Social
 Over 170 members attended the Ice Cream Social and Annual Meeting. The Social Committee outdid themselves in providing well-received refreshments to help celebrate the contribution of our founding members and to learn about OLLI's near term future.The Annual Picnic on Wednesday, June 10 from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm should be even more festive. This is a chance to connect socially with other OLLI members, introduce family members and guests to the people of our wonderful organization, and enjoy the natural beauty of Lithia Park.

Instructors are just one of the many groups of volunteers that make OLLI a great organization. Not only are volunteer contributions on the various committees essential to OLLI operations, but participation as a volunteer is the best way to connect with others in the organization. And channeling your expertise and energy into making OLLI even better can encourage personal growth. We welcome your active involvement in 2009-2010.
