Greetings! Be on the lookout for the annual OLLI member survey in your email inbox next week. While hard copies of the survey will be available as well, you are encouraged to provide your responses electronically, which will greatly facilitate tabulation and analysis. Your answers will be completely anonymous. Please participate so we can make sure the OLLI program meets your needs.

Annual Meeting & Ice Cream Social
You won't want to miss this year's Annual Meeting. We will honor the currently active OLLI members who were among our chapter's founders, review the year's successes, install our new Council and officers, and anticipate the financial future of OLLI. We'll celebrate with an old--fashioned ice cream social. Whether you choose to top your sundae with strawberries, hot fudge or caramel sauce, make a root beer float, or enjoy a cool glass of lemonade, you'll have fun meeting old and new OLLI friends.
The meeting will be held Wednesay, May 20 in Calvin Hall at the First Presbyterian Church on the corner of Walker and Oregon in Ashland starting at 3:30 pm, immediately following the Community Lecture with the Jabberwocky Good Time Band. Please put "yes" or "no" in the subject line of the email indicating whether you will attend.

Vital Issues Forum Recap
AG Kroger Wows Crowd
Several hundred OLLI members and their guests were spellbound by our newly elected Attorney General, his fascinating life story and ambitious programs for Oregon's Department of Justice. Kroger promises to focus his considerable energy and experience on consumer protection, environmental enforcement, and drug treatment. His candid responses to audience questions were the highlight of the program, so thanks to all of you who provided such stimulating topics.

Reminder: Deadline for Course Proposals
Consider Teaching on Both Campuses
We all know that OLLI classes are the heart of the organization and that instructors are our lifeblood. But those who teach know something else: being an instructor is one of the most rewarding OLLI activities. Click here for more information on becoming an instructor this fall in either Ashland, Medford or both, or call Bob Hilton at 488-0771. The deadline for course proposals is Friday, May 22.
The RCC-SOU Higher Education Center is a terrific venue for both teaching and taking classes. Our long term goal is to offer classes there five days a week as we do in Ashland. Toward that end, OLLI has reserved space there for the full week next fall. Let's fill it!
