 July 2010
Greetings!

Hope you are enjoying your summer!

It has been a busy one for us! This month we debuted the horses in the Aspen Parade, which was amazing! There must have been over 30 thousand spectators, a whole lot more than what I ever imagined. The F-16's flew over to open the celebration. Iron Mustang and Chisel looked awesome and got great response from the crowd. This weekend they are headed to Beaver Creek where I will display Chisel and my newest creations of furniture.

If One Horse is Good, Two is Better!

This has really been a dream come true for me! Years ago I dreamed of building these two horses and putting them together in a "display of sculpture" being able to capture a moment in time, and hold it in steel. It has been an amazing accomplishment for me to have these pieces finished and displayed. To see more photos of the horses together click here

How "Chisel" Got Her Name.

I was getting close to finishing Chisel, all that was left was to add the last pieces that would enclose her rear. I was chipping off a piece of metal on the inside, using my good chisel, when it fell from my hand into her left foot. Well, there was no way to reach in and get it. The only option I had was to cut her foot open, and I was not about to do that. So she will always have my best chisel welded in the bottom of her foot.

Bristlecone Furniture

While exhibiting at the Aspen Art Festival, we ran into an old friend. His name is Ron Corder and he makes furniture using the oldest wood on the planet, Bristlecone. This rare wood can be as old as 4500 years and is very difficult to work with. If you are interested in owning one of "Natures Antiques" you can reach Ron at 303.838.6812. Tell him that we sent you...
