McCleskey Floor UpdateJuly 26, 2010
Help us help McCleskey

McCleskey Middle School has generously allowed us to use their gym throughout the club season as well as all summer at some of the lowest gym rental prices in the market. This has allowed Cobb Atlanta to keep costs down and pass those savings on to our players in lower fees than they would otherwise have to pay if we went to other facilities.

However, the condition of the gyms floors at McCleskey is getting worse: uneven coloring, faded lines (or non-existent!), water damage, and overall poor condition. Cobb Atlanta began a campaign to help McCleskey refinish their gym floor; and we are in the final stretch of being able to do it now! We've gotten quotes from several companies on the replacement cost; and it's lower than originally thought, but we need to move quickly to get it approved and make it happen.

Cobb Atlanta has raised $4,900 towards this worthy cause through donations and summer camps & clinics. If every family were to donate $30, we could get the remaining $3,000 needed in the next week or two to get the floor replaced in time for our 2011 Club Volleyball season.

Can you please help us help McCleskey? Your donation helps our community, a local school, and Cobb Atlanta volleyball club. You can donate online via the link below or just get a check to Jessica at a camp or clinic this week.

Thank you to all the Cobb Atlanta families who have already donated to this worthy cause; and thanks in advance to those who will help us get the final push needed now.
I am sending this special edition of the Cobb Atlanta newsletter to current Cobb Atlanta families only--those who have seen the condition of the McCleskey gym floor; and who I hope I can count on to help us help the school and help our players have a good facility to practice in this coming season.

A special thank you to those parents who have already donated or are helping us raise money to refinish the floor.

Please consider helping us help McCleskey and know that your donation will be used wisely and benefit the community as well as Cobb Atlanta players.
