Fireworks safety
The State of Michigan has changed the laws regarding fireworks this year. Many more types of fireworks are legal now. Remember when using any fireworks that safety is the first consideration. The weather has been dry, so be sure to have a hose or a bucket handy when using fireworks. Fire Marshal Brian Sipe has prepared a fireworks safety summary as a reminder.

M-104 construction
In conjunction with the construction of the US31 bypass, M-104 will be widened from 124th Avenue east to I96 will be widened. Traffic will be maintained, but may be reduced to one lane of traffic at times.
