Battery Recycling Discontinued

Spring Lake Township is no longer accepting batteries for recycling. The vendor which was accepting them no longer will take them. Non-rechargeable batteries are not considered hazardous waste by Ottawa County, and they suggest throwing them away. Rechargeable batteries will continue to be accepted at the Ottawa County Household Hazardous Waste collection sites.
