Absent Voter Applications
Absent voter applications have been mailed to all the people on the permanent list. If you did not receive an application and would like to vote absentee, call Beth at 842-1340, ext. 117 for an application. Ballots will be available January 14.
The application for the absent voter's ballot has changed. Please fill out the application carefully. You will need to answer the question about citizenship twice or you will not be able to receive a ballot. Also, for the Presidential Primary election on February 28, you must choose which party's ballot you wish to vote.

Fire Department Upgrade
The Spring Lake Fire Department has received a Basic EMS License from the State of Michigan. This license will will allow the first responders to better assist residents with medical problems. As of December 25, the department has been operating as a Basic level department. The Fire Department medically licensed vehicles now carry upgraded medical equipment, including ventilation tubes, glucometers for blood sugar testing, and epi pens for allergic reactions.
The Fire Department has 19 members trained to at least the Basic EMS license. Thanks to all of the firefighters for working to bring the Fire Department to this level. Congratulations to the Fire Department for receiving this license so they can provide better service to Township residents and visitors. |
