FEMA, FCC and NOAA will conduct the first nationwide Emergency Alert System (EAS) test on Wednesday, November 9 at 2pm. The test will last approximately 3 minutes. The audio message will be the same for all EAS participants. However, the video test message scroll may not the the same and may not indicate "this is a test". The purpose of the test is to assess the readiness and effectiveness of the current system and identify improvements needed.

Important Charitable Giving Information Changes to the Michigan tax code signed into law this year include elimination of charitable tax credits beginning in 2012. This means the 50% tax credit for the Spring Lake Township Recreation Fund will be ending after 2011. That makes now a good time to consider a donation to the fund. |
