Road Commission Open House
The Ottawa County Road Commission is celebration 100 years of service with an open house on Wednesday, May 4, from 3pm to 7pm. The celebration will be held at their Grand Haven facility, at US-31 and Rosy Mound Drive.

| Spring Cleanup
For help disposing of items you discover during your spring cleaning:
Spring Lake Township Dumpster Day - Saturday, May 14, 8am to noon. Township and Village residents may bring up to a pick-up truck load of items for disposal.
Electronics Recycling - First CRC, 516 S. Ferry, Grand Haven
Friday, May 13, 1pm to 4pm
Saturday, May 14 9am to noon
They are collecting anything with a cord or that runs on a battery.
Burn Day - Saturday, May 21
Prescription Medication Disposal - Medications can be dropped off at any Ottawa County Health Department location. See the flyer for locations and times.

Miss Dig
Call the new Miss Dig number, 811, before digging or working near overhead lines. Member utilities will mark the approximate locations of their underground public utilities at no charge. Call at least 3 days before digging to give them time to mark your area. You can also make an online request at the Miss Dig website:

Public Hearing: Senior Resources Area Plan
On Monday, May 16 at 10am, Senior Resources of West Michigan, the area agency on aging for Muskegon, Ottawa and Oceana Counties will be holding a public hearing to review the Senior Resources Area Plan. The hearing will be held at Tanglewood PArk, 560 Seminole Rd., Muskegon, MI 49444. They will review the plan, including services they are hoping to fund. There will also be an opportunity for participant input and comment. The plan covers service provision for October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012. Advance copies of the plan will be available after April 29 at the Senior Resources of West Michigan website. If you are unable to attend, comments may be emailed to
amy@srwmi.org or mailed to Senior Resources, 560 Seminole Rd., Muskegon, MI 49444.
