M-104 Construction

Resurfacing of M-104 from 144th Ave. to I-96 will be beginning in May. Work will be done at night. There will be single lane closures with flag control between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Traffic restrictions will be prohibited on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Although the required completion date is in September, it is anticipated that this project will be completed within 3 weeks.

MDOT is holding an open house to discuss the project. It will be held Thursday, April 15 from 11am to noon at Crockery Township Hall, 17431 112th Avenue, Nunica.

May 1 Electronics Recycling Event

There will be a free electronics recycling event at First Christian Reformed Church on May 1 from 9am to noon. The church is at the corner of Waverly and Ferry in Grand Haven. Bring your electronic products and have them recycled and disposed of properly.

Census Update

If you haven't already done so, please remember to return your Census form.  Forms must be returned by May 1 to be counted in this portion of the Census. After May 1, enumerators will be visiting dwelling units where forms have not been returned. If you need a new form, one can be picked up at the Spring Lake Library or you can call the Census Bureau at 866-872-6868. Our Township return rate is currently 79%, still lower than our 83% return rate for the 2000 Census. It's important for every resident to be counted. Revenue sharing and many other programs are based on population.
