Change of Assessment Notices

This year, many of the properties in Spring Lake Township have had a decrease in taxable value. To save resources, the Township will not be sending Change of Assessment notices to those property owners. The Change of Assessment notice is the one that says "THIS IS NOT A TAX BILL", as illustrated below.

If there has been a change of ownership or if the assessed value of the property has increased, you will receive the Change of Assessment Notice.

Taxable values will be available by March 1. If you have any questions, please contact the Assessing Department at 844.2108 or dnorth@springlaketwp.org.

Bike Path Issues

Please be courteous to your friends and neighbors! bicycle image This winter consider removing the snow from a section of bike path in front of your home.  If you are unable to do this, at least, please remember to refrain from piling snow on the bike path.

Also, remember to pick up after your dog.  We have been receiving a higher number of complaints about people taking their dogs for a walk along the bike path and leaving the dog droppings for the next person to step in.

It is the preference of the Township to educate first and regulate second.  We prefer to remind people what the right thing to do is and if this is not successful, we will issue a citation.
