Greetings!

Thanks to Heather Singleton, Assessor, for running two successful taxpayer information sessions. Everyone learned a lot about their upcoming tax bills. One key piece of information is that the Consumer Price Index has been set at .997, so even if you assessed value hasn't changed, your 2010 Taxable Value will decrease a bit.

 Leaf Collection

Leaves are still being collected at the DPW Building on 150th Ave. until November 21. Leaves will be collected on Wednesdays from 2pm to 4pm and on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. Leaves must be in biodegradable bags. This service is only for residents of Spring Lake Township and Village.

Remember, no leaves can be burned in Spring Lake Township.

thumbs upCustomer Service Commitment

We realize that you don't have any options when it comes to receiving govenrmental services from the Township. However, our goal is to provide such great customer service that, if you had a choice, you would still choose to come to us.

We really hope that we're doing a great job of customer service. If you have compliments or complaints, give Gordon Gallagher a call at 844-2103.

Spring Lake Township law enforcement is provided by the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department. If you have a non-emergency need for an officer, call Ottawa County Central Dispatch at 800.249.0911. Residents of the Village may call the Spring Lake/Ferrysburg police, or may contact Central Dispatch. As always, in an emergency call 911.

Winter is Coming!

winter treeWe know that nobody wants to think about snow yet, but as you're making your arrangements for driveway clearing, remember that snow may not be piled on the bike paths or in the street.

If you live near a fire hydrant, please keep it clear of snow so that it is readily accessible during an emergency. Working together will help keep everyone safe.

Best Wishes,

Gordon Gallagher
