Water Service Replacements
Spring Lake Township is continuing to replace polybutylene (blue plastic) water services between the water main and the curb stop. The blue pipe is being replaced with copper service lines because of the high failure rate of the polybutylene pipe. The work will generally be within the road right-of-way, and does not include the replacement of the lines between the right-of-way and the house.
Work this year by Site Work Solutions will include replacement of 300 water services in the northwest part of the Township. Work began April 15, and the first streets to be completed are Terrace. Lovell and Woodcrest.
