'Cruising 'round the island on a Sunday afternoon' via the only remaining historic Puget Sound "Mosquito Fleet" steamship, you will see the shadows of long gone piers that once marked the still viable neighborhoods; listen to the steam whistle that alerted the early travelers to leave home, thus to reach the pier as the incoming vessel nudged in snugly for them to hop aboard and enjoy a relaxed afternoon of PNW beauty, social interaction and munching good food (with cash bar). Living History "History Comes Alive" Family Festival

Experience skills from over 100 years ago that kept the First Peoples and homesteaders alive in the early days of the PNW.  Watch Native American artists demonstrate how nature's bounty kept their ancestors alive.  Try your hand at a logging tool or hand making fish net in the Croatian tradition.  See how wool was made usable for clothing and other items with some hands on activities.  Fun for everyone.
