PAWS WagFest 2010 Sun., May 16, 9:30 AM
PAWS' celebration of all things canine. You needn't bring a dog to have a great time, but if you do bring a furry friend, you'll be sure to get sloppy kisses for it. In addition to a 1.5-mile fundraising walk, WagFest features all sorts of doggie demonstrations, activities & vendors. The event supports PAWS' pet food bank, veterinary financial assistance fund and the Hartstone spay/ neuter fund. Fundraising teams compete for the coveted WagFest Cup and other excellent prizes. Organ Concert: Halden Toy Fri., May 21, 7:30 PM
Halden Toy is a sophomore at Marysville Pilchuck High School. He has been playing the organ for approximately 5 years. Halden is the winner of the 2009 Young Organists Competition for Region VIII of the American Guild of Organists and is currently studying organ with Douglas Cleveland. His main interest is in early music. He will perform classical organ works of Bach, Buxtehude, Langlais, Briggs, and Widor on the 2006 Bond Pipe Organ at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. Fishes & Dishes is a cookbook by Kiyo Marsh, Tomi Marsh & Laura Cooper. It contains delicious recipes focusing on the bounty of Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.
