What's New in 2010 - Sacred Rocks RV Park will be changing its name to Safari RV Park to better reflect the idea of 'base camp' for exploration of surrounding area. It will still be in Sacred Rocks Reserve that also houses Sacred Rocks Mountain Homes, Sacred Rocks Retreat, and Sacred Rocks Artists' Colony.
-
Our evaluation of other similar parks
showed us that OUR rack rates of 2009 were considerably less than comparable
parks. Therefore, we will be changing the rates to reflect the prevailing
market as well as good business practice. The normal discount cards will
be honored if the Annual
VIP Pass
is not purchased. -
Camping rates are: Day $45, Week $225, Month
$675, Annual $7425. Tenting is $22
per 2 people, $5 per extra persons -
Day pass rates are: $8 per adult, $5 per child -
Annual VIP
Day Pass rates are: $120 per person, $80 per
under 12 and pass is good for unlimited day entry use 10am to 8pm until
12/31/10.

Advice from the Purple Mountain Sage
To increase your enjoyment of living:
1. "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even
touched. They must be felt with the heart. Wishing you happiness." -- Helen Keller
2. Hot Mulled Wine Recipe: dissolve 1 cup sugar in 4 cups of water in a large saucepan. Add lemon peel from half a lemon cut into thin strips, 18 whole cloves, and
2 cinnamon sticks. Boil 15 minutes, strain out peel and spices. Add 2 bottles of dry red wine (such as burgundy) and
heat gently. Do not boil. Preheat punch bowl or pitcher by filling with
hot water.
3. Preparing for Winter Safety Hazards: many people spend time outdoors in the winter working, traveling, or
enjoying winter sports. Outdoor activities can expose you to several
safety hazards, but you can take these steps (recommended by the CDC) to prepare for them:-
Wear appropriate outdoor clothing: layers of light, warm clothing; mittens; hats; scarves; and waterproof boots. -
Sprinkle cat litter or sand on icy patches. -
Learn safety precautions to follow when outdoors. -
Be aware of the wind chill factor. -
Work slowly when doing outside chores. -
Take a buddy and an emergency kit when you are participating in outdoor recreation. -
Avoid traveling when the weather service has issued advisories. -
If you must travel, inform a friend or relative of your proposed route and expected time of arrival. Carry a cell phone.
- Prepare your car for winter.
