Writers' Retreat in the Mountain
Saturday, December 5th 7:00am - 7:00pm
Something magical happens when we step out of our lives for a while -- and do what we love to do. We often say, "I need time" for my passion -- so makethe time. Retreating into nature begins a process into our innermost selves -- the quest for our soul's connection.
Self-expression that comes from a knowing - brings forth a simpler way to write.
If you are a writer [aspiring or professional] who wants to:
- Write more
 - Write better
- Write deeper
- Write richer
- Write easier
Then JUMP at this CHANCE to EXPERIENCE this WRITING DAY IN THE MOUNTAINS!

Advice from the Purple Mountain Sage
To increase your enjoyment of living:
1. "Life
is no brief candle to me...but a splendid torch which I have got a hold
of for the moment...I want to make it burn as brightly as possible
before handing it onto future generations." --(GB Shaw)
2. Feeling tired in the afternoon? put down the caffeinated soda
and pick up a cucumber. Cucumbers are a good source of B
Vitamins and Carbohydrates that can provide that quick
pick-me-up that can last for hours. 3. How to make soy candles (Great Christmas gift idea) - Soy wax can be melted on the stovetop or in the microwave. If you want to use the microwave, get a two-cup microwave-safe glass measuring cup and fill it with two cups of wax. Heat for about five minutes. Carefully remove from the microwave and stir. You're looking for 15 fluid ounces of wax, so if yours melts to less than that, add some more. Make sure the wax is melted completely before proceeding. Add any fragrance and color you would like when making soy candles. Make sure the fragrance oil you choose is designed to work with soy wax. You will add about one ounce to the melted wax. You can use color chips, blocks or drops that are made for other kinds of candle making. Mix all together well, make sure your wick is straight and pour the melted wax into your jar. Pour slowly and you shouldn't have a problem with breaking the glass. Once the wax is poured in, you may need to straighten your wick again. Place a pencil or a wooden skewer across the mouth of the jar to support the wick as the candle hardens. After it is cool, you can trim the wick to about a quarter of an inch and enjoy.
