The Art of Being and Seeing Seminar - July 27 @ 9:00am - 4:00pm.  1-day photo safari lead by the award winning photographer, Lori Brookes. This workshop is not about technology, but about creating a relationship with our environment and being present to those moments that appear to us when we are open to see them.

  • The Mountain Women's Club - women of all ages are invited to join our club on Thursdays from 10:00am - 11:30am. Meetings cover a variety of topics from how to make organic lip balm, to chair yoga, Reiki, de-stress, flat belly tips, field trips and many many more! Come together and create an organization FOR WOMEN, FUN, LEARNING, and SHARING wisdom of generations.
  • Mountain Empire Booster Club Fundraiser Dinner - A group of ladies from the Mountain Empire has taken it upon themselves to organize a Booster Club to help raise money for the Mountain Empire Sports Program.  Even in good times Mountain Empire High School struggles to support its student athletes.  This is especially true in today's environment.  Here is an excellent opportunity to help out the kids and at the same time enjoy a nice spagetti dinner.  Lets all get out and show our support.  The football team has a new coach and the kids are practicing all summer to prepare for the fall football schedule.  The dinner will take place on Saturday, July 18th from 5pm to 8pm @ The Pine Valley Community Center.  Plates are $5.00 a person and pre-sale tickets are available.  There will also be a raffle!  Please let Mary Vick know (619-318-9438) if you are interested in purchasing pre sale tickets and she will make arrangements to deliver them to you.

Fourth of July weekend was a blast! The weather was beautiful, the atmosphere festive and everyone had a wonderful time celebrating one of America's most important holidays.  If you missed this holiday weekend here at Sacred Rocks, there's still time to visit while the summer lasts. Whether you want to escape the heat from El Centro or the busy city life in San Diego, Sacred Rocks is the most economical and relaxing way to spend summer vacation. You can cool off in the pool during the day and enjoy a campfire under a starry sky at night. You can hike or bike through our beautiful nature trails or meditate by walking our labyrinth. Sacred Rocks ReserveAdvice from the Purple Mountain Sage
To increase your enjoyment of living:

1. "Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it."

2.  Spread Bounce sheets around foundation areas, or in trailers, or cars that are sitting and it keeps mice from entering your vehicle.  It repels mosquitoes. Tie a sheet of Bounce through a belt loop when outdoors during mosquito season.  Wet a Bounce sheet, hose down your car, and wipe bugs off easily with the wet Bounce.

3.  Having trouble sleeping? Lavender can help you sleep sounder, research says, so mist your pillow with lavender water before bed.
