Did You Know?
Families experience an average 30% drop in income during the first year after a child or teen's cancer diagnosis. A single parent family can face a drop of 50% or more in income. Add to this the sudden addition of large medical and travel expenses, and it's easy to see why childhood cancer can inflict a financial burden on a family that can take a decade or more to recover from.
