Facilitating the School Experience

For Childhood Cancer Survivors

Wed., March 16th  5-8 pm

Gilda's Club of Madison

7907 UW Health Court, Middleton, WI  53562

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in partnership with Gilda's Club of Madison, is offering a program for parents and school staff members to help facilitate the return of childhood cancer patients to school.

Regardless of your child's type of cancer, you'll learn to identify the potential challenges faced by survivors as they return to school, progress through their education, and grow into adulthood.   Speakers, including oncologist Dr. Diane Puccetti and AFCH pediatric oncology nurse practitioner Sharon Frierdich, will talk about the cognitive and late effects of childhood cancer treatment and how to improve the transition of childhood cancer survivors from clinic to classroom.

Dinner will be provided and childcare is available upon request.

To register call, 608-828-8880.

Please register by March 4th.
