"Justice" Portrait Fundraiser
"Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy deliver them from the hand of the wicked."
- Psalm 82:3-4 -
Print - $39.00
Framed - $49.00
"Justice" Little girl behind the barbed wire: She lives in a barrio in the slums of Managua, Nicaragua. She peeks through the wire that 'protects' her shack home from predators. She attends the Fe Viva Christian School. Attending school gives her hope for a future to break the cycle of poverty that she was born into. Her heart cries out for justice for each child who goes to bed hungry, sick and forgotten. The man kneeling in prayer: This man once lived on the streets of Chiquimulilla, Guatemala. His family is gone; his life destroyed by drugs and alcohol, but now he is part of the House of Refuge. He cries out for justice and redemption for the life he's lost. He believes restoration comes through prayer. The people in Juba, Sudan: This group of refugees, wanders the land, with no belonging, because all has been stripped away through violence, greed, and war. Their future depends upon the help of others outside their country. The cry for justice from their torn nation and the 4.5 million countrymen displaced by war. The ladies in Aweil, Sudan: These women cry for justice on behalf of their sons, husbands, fathers, brothers and friends who have been murdered at the hands of soldiers. Their hearts long for peace and restoration of a life, where they no longer live with fear, hunger, sickness and hopelessness. The Sudanese woman: She represents the millions of nameless, faceless, forgotten ones across the earth, with no one to speak out for justice on their behalf. Artist: Tangelyn Shields This composition started as a photo collage created as graduation gift for a lawyer based on the scripture verse Psalm 82:3-4. As I prayed into what to create, God opened my eyes to something deeper; the souls' of millions crying out for help. I began to pray on their behalf, and the eyes of the men, women and children in the photos began to "sink deep" into my heart. The revelation of this hopelessness brought the scripture verse to life. "Oh God rescue them!" God was so gracious in giving the vision for this composition and He deserves all the glory and honor. My desire is that this composition will cause you to think of the "bigger picture". Of the millions of people who are displaced, hungry, afraid and have no hope. That it will open your heart to the possibility that you can impact a nation right where you are and that you are a part of God's plan to bring hope to His people. All proceeds of the purchase of this print go towards Fe Viva's work with the poor and destitute.
Print Only - $39.00
Framed Print - $49.00

Greetings!
The rains are finally getting weaker and weaker as we move into a new season. We are also entering a new season in the Spirit in Fe Viva as well. We are excited to see God move in a greater way. We have also been very busy in this season: teams, travel and new staff. With all that has been happening; continued construction, many teams and much outreach, we ask for your prayers to cover all our financial needs and commitments, so as not to have a shortfall next month. We know that God will meet all our needs and we thank you for your prayers and continued support. God Bless.

November: A Busy Month
This month has being busy with 3 teams: Anchor Academy from Salmon Arm, a dental team from Regina and Kindersley, headed up by Dana and Marge Bailey and a team from Nashville, Tennessee, headed up by Sue Mast. All 3 teams worked hard and were great blessings to many. We have a container Canada arriving week.
We have 2 electricians arriving from Kelowna to wire the Village of Faith and upgrade some wiring and building in Fe Viva. As well, we have two congresses, one in El Salvador, November 19- 21 and one in Villa Nueva, Guatemala November 26-28, with the Prison Graduation squeezed in on November 25.
We wanted to share with you a few words from team members we had this month:
From Melanie Bartusek, leader of Anchor Academy Team: "I just wanted to thank you (Kim and Lynn) for all you did for our Anchor Team. The students came back pumped and ready to take on the world for Jesus. I know you will hear from them in the future. We were blessed, stretched and strengthened in the Lord throughout our 3 week stay."
Dental Team and Fe Viva Staff
From Marge Bailey, leader of Dental team:"Many many thanks once again for your hospitality and gracious support while we are in Guatemala. We all had a great time serving the Lord -- and the precious people at Fe Viva. The members of our team were all touched and so blest to have been with you. Love to all the team at Fe Viva." Casa Esperanza Childrens Home
We have had a very action packed fun filled 3 weeks here in Guatemala. We enjoyed a youth team from Salmon Arm B.C. The group was a great blessing as they painted some of our children's rooms as well as main areas in the home that were in great need. They also fixed some of the children's bikes that needed some TLC. This group interacted our children in various activities such as hikes, beach day, devotions and soccer tournaments. Our Casa kids enjoyed this group a lot and was very blessed by their servant hood and their enthusiasm. We were also blessed by a team of dentists who came to serve our children, missionaries, workers, etc. here at Fe viva. We have a dental clinic here on base and we kept the team very busy. Many people received free dental care as well as smiles and the love of the Lord through this group.
Members of the Dental Team
We are in the midst of planning a big 15th birthday party for 4 of our young ladies here at Casa Esperanza. Here in Guatemala it is a huge celebration when a girl turns 15. It is her coming out party. Our four young ladies are Rosie, Gabi, Sonja, and Lupe. We are planning for 85 people. More then half of them are our children, workers and their families. Others are missionaries, our Pastor and his family, and some of the girls family. Our children and ladies are putting together a program of songs, dances etc. My daughter Jenea is helping the girls to get ready for their big day, as well as singing with some of the children and sharing a song or two that she has wrote. Steve and I will be presenting the girls their 15th rings, and speaking a word of blessing over them as their parents. Anthony has prepared a slide show of the girls, and of different activities they have been a part of here, and he will share that at the end of the evening. Jenea and I took the girls shopping for their dresses and shoes for the big day, they are all very excited and looking forward to this special event.
Steve & Patty Peters, Directors of Casa Esperanza
