| Transition Team Survey
|
The Transition Team of First Christian church invites all members and visitors to take part in a congregational survey over the first three weeks in May. The Team wants your opinions on the future of First Christian - in what ways we need to transform our worship service and community life, in what direction and form we should vacate our current premises, and the like. A survey is available as bulletin insert and also online by clicking here. If you are filling out the form in your bulletins, please drop them off in the appropriate locations in the church building. While this is not a circumstance where you should "vote early and often" (as they say in Chicago), it is something where the full participation of the congregation is VERY important. .

Art of the Covenant: Summer Edition
Art of the Covenant, our children's Sunday School class will continue to meet during the summer with an abbreviated class at 9:15AM. This is wonderful opportunity for kids to learn about God through art. If you want to find out more, please contact Deb Murphy at christianformation@fccminneapolis.org. .
Coming Soon: Vacation Bible School First Christian will join Plymouth Creek Christian Church in Plymouth and Lake Harriet Christian Church in Minneapolis, in holding a joint Vacation Bible School June 26-27. Grounded in Jesus' Parable of the Sower, ReNew: The Green VBS brings together the Bible and environmental stewardship. From tiny towns to huge cities, kids grow in faith as they play, learn, sing, and work toward renewing their congregations and communities. By serving in the community and inviting the community into church, kids demonstrate that being green can be easy, faithful, and fun. Although current threats to our environment can seem scary, ReNew is about hope, opportunity, and service. Kids and congregations lead the way as stewards of the earth.
What happens when heads, hearts, and hands are in harmony? Kids grow in faith, have fun, and change the world.
If your kids are interested in taking part, please contact Deb Murphy. You register or volunteer by going to the Plymouth Creek website at http://www.plymouthcreek.org/. | |
Summer Faith Formation Class

Who is Jesus? That's a question people have been asking for centuries. Join us this summer beginning on May 30 at 9:15AM as we attempt to seek for ourselves who this son of carpenter is to us. We will be using the book, "The Meaning of Jesus" by N.T. Wright and Marcus Borg as our guide. We are meeting in the church library. If you would like to purchase a book, please see Pastor Dennis.

Food Sunday

March Minnesota Foodshare Results Thanks to all who contributed food and money during our annual Minnesota Foodshare Drive last March. We raised $1426.91!
