Mission: Possible! Junior & Chi Rho Retreats
|
Calling all Upper Midwest Secret Agents in grades 3-5 and grades 6-8 -
We have a mission for you, should you choose to accept it! Last summer
Eastern Iowa was devastated by floods and we are going to do our part
to make life a little better for flood victims. All secret agents will
be assigned missions to complete. The Chi Rho retreat will also
feature a trip to the flood zone. Junior Secret Agents should report
to Mission: Possible Headquarters (Christian Conference Center) from
April 24-26. Chi Rho Secret Agents should report to Mission: Possible
Headquarters May 1-3. To indicate your acceptance of this mission
please fill out the registration forms available at
http://www.uppermidwestcc.org/ministries_youth.html .
This message will not self-destruct in 10 seconds.
There are posters, postcards, bulletin inserts and more to help you
encourage the youth of your congregation to attend that you can

Changes in Regional Office
|
The day has arrived and the Regional Church Center is closing down. I say closing rather than Closed because it will be a process over the next couple of weeks. I want to lay out a few things about that process to help keep everyone informed.
1. We are without office staff for a brief amount of tiime while we finish up our search for our new Adminastrative Coordinator for Ministries position.
2. Don and I will still be in the office occassionaly when we are not out with you all. The phone will still ring in the office and if we are not there it will go to the answering machine. However, the best way to get in touch with Don or Bill would be to call their cell phones directly (Don 515 577 9020) (Bill 515 577 9050)
3 If you would like to meet with either of us, we do make Church/house calls. Unit meetings will begin to take place in the most central location for the members of the units.
4. We are hiring "Two Men and Truck" to come move the big items, (Tables, Files, chairs and such) next Wednesday. They will transport these items to the Conference Center to begin to set up our temporary administrative center. If you would like to help arrange/organize/or just help out please come to the Conference Center around 11am next Wed and wait for the items to arrive...
5 . We will have a Disciples Together Truck Day in the near future to transport many other items over the next few weeks. Look for an announcement about that soon
6. We know some things are always are missed here and there but we are doing are best to cover the bases. Please do not hesitate to just give us a call directly if you have a question.
