A Twirling Wheel lets a child develop the wrist control and extension needed for efficient pencil writing in a fun way!  Wrist control and wrist extention (slight bending back of wrist) sets a child's hand up to manage a pencil comfortably.  Slight extension of the wrist relieves stress and tension on tendons and muscles in the hand when writing.  Our Twirling Wheel calls for moving the wrist back and forth in a controlled pattern to make the wheel travel smoothly along the metal rail and encourages an extension pattern in the wrist.  The Twirling Wheel may be a retro toy for some, but it is definitely fun for all!
