Greetings!
Military Spouses Now Eligible for Military Tuition Discount!

Military Husband and Wife
The National Graduate School is now offering the same tuition discount given to members of the military and armed forces to their spouses as well!   This is to recognize and give thanks for the sacrifices military spouses make on a daily basis and the valuable support that they give to our service men and women.

The same flexible and accelerated format that our many military students and alumni benefit from is now also available to spouses.  Because we have classes at so many military bases across the country as well as our online program, military spouses never need to worry about not finishing their degree because of their spouse being transferred!

Learn more about Tuition Assistance and benefits available to military spouses at military.com here or speak to our Financial Aid Department at 800.838.2580 ext. 509 or financialaid@ngs.edu.
Meet Your Professor:
Professor Jones
Commander Kevin Jones

Professor Jones has been a member of the NGS/U Adjunct Faculty for the last two years, teaching and supervising cohorts in Kodiak, Alaska.  When not teaching, he is an active duty Coast Guard commander, where he has served for over 33 years as both an officer and enlisted.  In 2008, while serving as the Commanding Officer of USCGC ALEX HALEY, he was looking for a portable master's program to bring aboard the cutter that would potentially allow crew members to earn a master's degree while underway.  This type of full-time program had previously been considered to be "in the too-hard-locker" and therefore not attempted by any other crews.  The National Graduate School worked with Commander Jones and the USCGC ALEX HALEY crew to create a teaching format that would accomodate their busy schedule and remote location.
