NGS/U Graduate Students Provide Innovation for the Coast Guard

The National Graduate School representatives and alumni will be present at this year's United States Coast Guard Innovation Expo at the Virginia Beach Convention Center in Virginia Beach, VA on November 17-19. This will be the fifth year NGS/U has partnered with the U.S. Coast Guard at this annual event. Each year the Coast Guard sponsors several NGS/U alumni to attend and present their innovative projects among their colleagues, senior leaders and Coast Guard vendors. These projects have been especially selected by NGS/U faculty and Coast Guard Headquarters. In the past, two Coast Guard students' projects in particular received national recognition by the Commandant's Innovation Council and an award given their projects' scope and results. The theme of this year's Expo, "Innovation Inside: Opportunities Amidst Change," aligns with NGS/U's thinking of changing the wheel while the car is moving. NGS/U is working with the Coast Guard to stay focused on innovation by creating new ways to improve quality while keeping costs down. If you plan to attend this year's Expo, make sure you visit NGS/U at booth 1418 and register for our booth raffle prize. |
