The Humane Society for Greater Nashua is dedicated to the care and protection of abandoned, abused, neglected and unwanted animals as well as promoting animal welfare through programs and services that mutually benefit animals and people.

Since the Humane Society doesn't receive any city, state, or federal grants it does it's best to gain community support through its fund raising efforts and donations. Their annual yard sale allows them to raise money for this wonderful cause!

There are so many different ways you can help.

We'll post them in the next newsletter!

Greetings!

June is here and our last newsletter was in March-WOW! I have been falling behind, sorry about that.

I have much to share with you, Jennifer (our oldest) and Dave are getting married in 5 weeks. This will be a fun day for the Gurney Clan as we have family coming in from all over-- breakout the air mattresses and ear plugs! Although Mom still gets the bed of her choice, she turned 85 on May 14th, she loves to play Words With Friends with her grandchildren but especially with my wife Charlotte.

On another note, I am continuing on my quest to lose weight. In February, I was 226 lbs. and this morning I was 206.6 lbs.! My goal is to be under 200 by the wedding. It's amazing what cutting out the bad carbs and portion control will do. However, I do need to exercise more.

Lastly, if I could ask a favor of you, if you have a Gmail account, do you think you could take a minute and go to Google places and do a review on Gurney's Automotive? I would greatly appreciate it. Or, if you have another site that you use to review your favorite places you can use that too! We can also put your reviews on our web page if it is easier for you to just email them to me at bgurney@gurneys.net

Hey, has anyone tried any of Charlotte's recipes? Let me know, I would like to post those comments too, that would be fun!

Thanks!

Your friend,

Bill

We have so much great news!!!

  • The Customer Appreciation Cards seem to be a great hit, they have been coming in at a steady clip since they went out at Christmas time. Since March 1st, each time you are in having your vehicle serviced, we will take 2% of that total and issue a store credit on your customer appreciation card to be used for future automotive services.

  • Milford is now a AAA approved repair facility the same as Nashua. We scored an unprecedented 100% on our survey done by AAA. Thanks to anyone that received the survey and sent it back in to AAA.

  • We now have the ability to help you with a rental car since we now have a Hertz Local Edition located in the Milford store. If you need to rent a car for any reason we can help you with that. We can even do rentals for insurance companies if you have been in an accident! Just give Hannah a call at 603-249-5552.

  • Milford also just received its Bosch Service Center approval as well. This allows us access to special Bosch service training and products so we are up to date for you on the latest and greatest.

  • Our technician Jay just spent a week at Bosch in Chicago, training on the Ford, Chevy and Cummins diesels.

I think that is all the NEW news for now, just keep checking our website for the most recent happenings and specials.

Humbly,

Bill, Charlotte and the Gurney Team

So that's how!

How do you fix my AC to make it blow cold?

In the past, a car's air conditioning system often involved nothing more than cranking down the car's windows. In fact, it was common to see an AC system in only premium or fully-loaded vehicles. Fortunately, for today's drivers, this trend has changed. Today, an AC system is one of the most common features in all automobiles. Finding a car today that is not equipped with an AC system would be a challenge. As the warmer weather approaches, we wanted to inform you how your air conditioning cools you on those warm days and what might be causing it to blow warm and what we do to determine the problem.
