"With a few more cold weather weeks ahead of us, a warm bisque can give lots of comfort during these chilly days. Whenever I make this dish for family and friends, I have endured the compliments of being compared to a "5-star restaurant!"

Greetings!
Well, here we are, in the middle of February and I am finally getting around to writing my newsletter.
Spring is right around the corner and, for Charlotte me, that means two more weddings are also right around the corner. Our daughter Jennifer and her fiance Dave's wedding is July 7th and then, a few months later our son Joshua and his fiancee Nicole's wedding is September 30th. With weddings comes the shuffling in and out of family in our home this summer. To add to the celebrations this Spring is that my Mom will be turning 85 years young!
Something else that came to mind that I wanted to touch on was how nice it is to see the political scene has now moved to other parts of the country. I am looking forward to the election process as I am always grateful that we live in a country where we can exercise our right to vote. Recently, I was telling someone that I think there should be term limits. Their response made me stop and think. Our right to vote is a form of term limits, if we don't like them, we can vote them out!
So, everyone, do your homework over the next several months and let's vote for that person we feel is the best for the job. Know where they stand on issues. Hopefully, we can get everyone on the same page and vote in someone who can bring America back to being the greatest nation in the world. A nation where everyone counts and everyone has the opportunity to work and live and raise their children, where it is safe and economically stable now and for our future--a country that is debt free and more dependent on itself.
Most of all, a country that remembers its roots and that it was founded on Biblical principles.
Your friend,
Bill

What Is Your Check Engine Light Telling You?
When your car's "Check Engine" light comes on, it's usually accompanied by a sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach. The light could mean a costly problem, like a bad catalytic converter, or it could be something minor, like a loose gas cap. In most cases, it means, at minimum, you'll be bringing your car to your auto mechanic to locate the malfunction and get the light turned off.
So, if the Check Engine light comes on and it's steady rather than flashing, what do you do?
