NOCC Annual Walk for
Ovarian Cancer
The mission of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition is to raise awareness and understanding about ovarian cancer. More than 20,000 women in the United States are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year, and approximately 15,000 women die annually from the disease. But with help from donations and the wonderful volunteers to make people aware of the subtle symptoms and to help with early detection until there is a test available to detect early diagnosis.
The New Hampshire Chapter of the NOCC is holding its 6th Annual Walk to Break the Silence on Ovarian Cancer on Sunday, September 25, 2011.

Charlotte's Kitchen |
I am not sure about my garden this year! It seems it just doesn't want to product or maybe I'm being a little impatient. Probably the latter! Yesterday I was in the garden check for the first signs of Zucchini so I can make this scrumptious dish.

Greetings!
Well can you believe it? September has arrived, did anyone else see June, July and August along the way? It has been a whirlwind for Charlotte and I. As most of you know, Hannah and Phil got married on July 24th. It was a wonderful day and everything went great. There were people betting I would fall apart, but I did not. Although I did cry a couple of times... but only for a moment or two.
We were getting ready to walk down the aisle together and I asked her if she was for sure because the car was out front and it was running, Hannah laughed and said "what kind of father says that to his daughter?" Of course I had to answer, "Yours", she knows I was kidding. Phil is a good man and when you saw him look at her coming down the aisle, you could tell from his face, that he loves my little girl with all of his heart, mind and soul. What else could a father ask for!

Your friend,
Bill

So that's how!
How does a catalytic converter work?
Especially in large cities, the amount of pollution that all the cars produce together can create big problems. To solve these problems, cities, states, and the federal government create clean-air laws that restrict the amount of pollution that cars can produce. Over the years, automakers have made refinements to car engines and fuel systems to keep up with these laws, hence, the emissions control that is now in place for our Nh State Inspections. One of these changes came about in 1975 with a devide called a catalytic converter. The job of the catalytic converter is to convert harmful pollutants into less harmful esmissions before they ever leave the car's exhaust so we can keep our air clean.
