Big news in the Gurney house! Hannah, our youngest daughter, became engaged in October. If you are wondering...yes, Phil came and asked for my permission before proposing to Hannah. We absolutely love him he loves our Hannah. We know he will treat her like a princess forever and Hannah loves Phil and will treat him like a prince forever. So, some time next summer we will be having a wedding!
Happy Thanksgiving to all! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday...a day when it is all about family and friends and being thankful. I think it would be wonderful if we took every day of this whole month to express our thankfulness to those who are important in our life. One day = one person...doesn't seem so hard, huh? We can't change the world overnight but we can move the needle in the right direction every day. I'll start...I would like to say I am genuinely thankful to you.
Before we can enjoy the holiday, we have a very important day coming up. Election Day.
When we are irritated with the government many of us say that that we need term limits. Well, we actually have term limits when you think of it.. At every election cycle we can exercise our right to vote and enforce term limits. I would encourage us all to get out and exercise this right and encourage someone else to do the same. We live in the greatest country on Earth and I love my country, The United States Of America. Let's stand for what makes us great, democracy and our right to vote. See you at the polls.
