Labor Day...can you believe it? Just like everyone else, it makes me feel that summer is ending. I'm looking forward to a nice-but busy-September. So much happens this time of year, for all of us. We have autumn to prepare for, football to look forward to, and not to mention all the prep (and happiness) that goes into getting the kids back to school! Beyond backpacks and lunch boxes, are you aware that students have to pay to play in the sports programs in Nashua now? I was discussing this situation with a customer recently and he informed me that depending on the sport, the cost could range from $50 to $500. Wow. Luckily, when I inquired about donating, he told me that anyone could donate...whether or not you have children in the school system or sports programs. So if you are in the position to help, I am sure it would be much appreciated by the students and families that will have a hard time with these costs.  Here is the contact information for donations to the Athletics Student Activity Fund.

Make the out check to "Nashua School District" and specify the sport you would like to support or just simply "Athletics" in memo line.
