GOD CAN PUT HUMPTY DUMPTY TOGETHER AGAIN!
And He said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" (Ezekiel 37:3)
Do you remember the nursery rhyme about Humpty Dumpty? Part of it states: "Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall....all the King's Horses and all the King's men, couldn't put Humpty Dumpty together again." Humpty Dumpty was shattered. The pieces were numerous, and all appeared hopeless. Who do you look to in a hopeless situation?
Many people today feel like Humpty Dumpty. Their lives are shattered. Their future seems hopeless. They have tried drugs; alcohol; therapy; etc..etc..etc.. Nothing seems to work. Can anyone put Humpty Dumpty together again? Again I ask, who do you look to in a hopeless situation?
The Bible depicts the story of the dry bones. Judah-Israel had been ravaged by War, exile, and God allowing the Temple to be destroyed. Those who survived, believed that the Nation was lost. The dry bones are a picture of the Jews in captivity-scattered and dead. However God brought life to the dead bones. God can also bring life to spiritually dead people.
If you are feeling stressed, depressed, and hopeless today. Remember that there is One who can put you together again. All of us are subject to fall off of the wall from time to time. And when we fall we feel broken. Even well-meaning family and friends may try, but cannot put us together again. But God can put us together again. He can give you new life; He can put Humpty Dumpty together again; and He can make dry bones live.
