FWMBC Members and Friends,
Can you believe it.  We are closing in on the Month of August and students will be going back to school in about a month.  I believe that days get shorter as I get older. I hope that you are finding time to rest and get some relaxation before the fall begins.  In a few weeks I will be taking time off to do just that.  Continue to pray for my family and stay fired up for the Lord.  Also remember to pray for our sick and shut-in members.  May God Continue to Bless You and Keep YOU!

TAKE HEED CHURCH!

Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
 (Acts 20:28)

As Paul travels on his Missionary journey he warns the church leaders at Ephesus to take heed because there will be some who will attempt to ravage the church with false doctrines.  In order to make sure that these perverse men will not succeed, the leaders and the members should continuously engage in prayer; helping one another; providing for the leaders and the members; studying the Word of God; and keeping God first in their lives.

This is still good advice for the church today.  We should not be unaware that some people are not really serious about God's Kingdom.  They are like grievous wolves who seek to cause problems for God's people.  We must continue to remember that our Lord, Jesus Christ, purchased the church with His own blood and He did it that we would be saved.  Accordingly, we owe it to Him to take heed of what is going on in our churches.

Sometimes Kingdom work can be difficult.  But it is worth going through any problems that we may encounter.  We must work together to accomplish the mission of the church.  Every member is important to the business of the church.  We should Love God and Love one another.  We are a part of one body in Christ.

So take heed Church.  We have work to do.  We will be held accountable.  After all, Jesus paid the price for the church with His own blood!
