USE WHAT YOU HAVE!

So Elisha said to her, "What shall I do for you?  Tell me, what do you have in your house?"  And she said, "Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil."  (2 Kings 4:2)
Have you ever felt inadequate for the trials of life?  It seems that you never have enough to do what is necessary for success.  The truth is, you have everything that you need to be a success, if you have faith in our Lord.

In the passage above, a Widow was overwhelmed with a debt that she could not pay.  The woman's creditor was coming to take her two sons to be his slaves.  She turned to Elisha for help.  His advice led her to go borrow  vessels from her neighbors and then pour the little oil that she had in the vessels.  The miracle unfolded before her eyes.  Although she started with a little oil, she ended up running out of vessels to pour more oil into.  God had kept the oil coming.
We all know that trouble will come in our lives from time to time.  Sometimes we feel very alone when that happens.  But we need not despair.  God is always with us and will help us. God can take our little and turn it in to a lot.  We should never discount what we have to offer God.  Take an inventory of what you do have, and stop concentrating on what you don't have.
You can always count on your relationship with God to be of help in times of trouble.  That is why I recommend that you work on your relationship with God each day.  The closer you are to God, the more you feel His presence in times of need.  Develop and hold on to a close relationship with the Lord.
Obey God's instructions when you need advice.  The Bible has the instructions that you need to deal with your situation.  However, you have to be willing to follow those instructions.  The Widow was successful because she carried out Elisha's instructions that had been given by the Lord.
Finally, Let Go and Let God!  After you have prayed on your problems; and then used what you have to solve them;, then turn it over to the Lord.  He will take your little and make a lot.  Remember, you have all that you need in Jesus Christ!
