Have you ever wanted to tell God that He was wrong about something? Perhaps He was showing favor on someone who you perceive to be no good and you want God to punish him/her greatly. Perhaps its the other way around. You have been pretty good, but it seems that there is trouble everywhere you turn. Maybe you believe that circumstances have changed over the years and God should take a new approach to dealing with His people. Whatever the case, my question is, "Who are we to argue with God?"
In the passage above, Peter is explaining to the Jewish Leaders why he took Cornelius, a gentile, into the church. He recounted the events surrounding the conversion of Cornelius, including his vision and the presence of the Holy Spirit. Peter realized that no one can oppose God and still have integrity. We may not always understand why God does what He does, but we cannot deny that He is God and He never makes a mistake.
I agree with Peter, it is not wise to argue with God. God loves us and I know that He is always looking out for us. We may not understand why certain situations happen in our lives, but we can be sure that God will never leave us nor forsake us. If we just trust God, I know things will always turn out for the best.
What are you going through right now? Do you believe that God can solve your problem? Will you agree with Him and His Word? Remember, He is God. He is Sovereign. He will take care of us. The next time you want to argue with someone, make sure its not the Lord!
