FWMBC Members and Friends,
Twice a month I generally help my mother with her grocery shopping.  I have done it long enough now that I generally know what she wants without seeing the list that she provides.  A week ago, I noticed however that bacon was not on the list.  That was surprising because I know that my mother enjoys eating bacon with her breakfast.  I asked her about it and she told me that she was giving it up for Lent. She laughed, and told me that it was not easy however..... All of us should periodically take a look at ourselves and determine if we should make some adjustments.  I am learning that everything I like to eat does not always digest well in my system.  Although it can be hard, I have started cutting back on certain foods.  Hopefully you will do the same.  Nobody can take better care of you, than "you" can.  Eat right, and live healthier!

Remember to pray for our sick and shut-in members.

 EVERYBODY IS SOMEBODY WITH GOD!

And opening his mouth, Peter said: "I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right, is welcome to Him.  (Acts 10:34, 35)

Many of us fall short of our potential in life because we are told by others that we will never really amount to anything.  Sometimes other people can cause you to abandon your dreams.  Many people suffer with low self-esteem as a result of obstacles put in their paths by the harsh judgmental opinions of others. It is time for us to realize that we are special in the eyes of God.

In the passage above Peter realizes that a person's self-worth is not determined by his nationality.  God is favorable to those who fear and respect Him, and who does what is right.  By those standards, everybody is somebody. During those times, Jews believed that they, as God's chosen people, were the only ones who could receive God's favor.

Accordingly, we should seized every opportunity to serve God and live according to His will for our lives.  We should stay committed to the truth of the Gospel.  We should trust God in every circumstance and realize that He cares for us.  God allows us to make choices that will stimulate spiritual growth and help others.  We should be able to dream and imagine what the end might look like as we pursue those dreams.

Don't let anybody discourage you and make you feel inferior.  Stir up the passion of loving God and believing that you can do "all things through Christ who strengthens you."  You can accomplish great things because with God, "Everybody is Somebody."  Hallelujah!
