FWMBC Members and Friends,
There is good news. I am getting calls from our church leaders with many different ideas for the year 2012. We may not be able to implement all of the ideas, however it is refreshing to see the positive attitudes that many of you have for the future. Certainly 2011 was challenging. But as my late father-in-law used to say: "Give out, but don't give up!" If 2012 is going to be a better year, it starts with us. And having a positive attitude toward the future is a good start. Now let's roll up our sleeves and get to work. Remember, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
A church member reminded me this past Sunday, "IF YOU PRAY, DON'T WORRY.....BUT IF YOU WORRY, DON'T PRAY!" Well I am certainly going to pray this year, and I know that you will too.

Weekly Message
NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST US SHALL PROSPER
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17)
Have you ever worried about losing a fight? When I was in school we would put on the boxing gloves as a part of the physical education program and have it out with other students. There were some kids that I had no problem facing, however there were others who were larger and stronger and I dreaded going up against. I knew however, that the gym teacher would intervene if I was getting beat up too bad. That was comforting even though I would have to take a few more licks than I would have liked. Dealing with the problems of life are similar to those boxing matches. We are not promised that we won't have some confrontations, and take some blows in this life. But the good news is that God is always there to intervene just at the right time. And no matter what weapon comes against us, it will not ultimately prosper against us.
Isaiah presents the theme that God loves His people in spite of their rebellion from time to time. The fact that God's people will often face difficulties does not change the fact that they should always praise Him for His grace and mercy. God's people can be sure that our future is bright because God will overcome all enemies that come up against us.
Remember, God is too powerful, and He loves us too much to see weapons of any kind prosper against us. Hallelujah!
